A WHOPPING 61% of UK consumers feel sustainability is more important to them now than it was two years ago, a NielsenIQ study has found.
Some 30% said this was because of being personally impacted by extreme weather events.
However, 22% found it difficult to shop for grocery products in a sustainable way – up from 16% five years ago.
NielsenIQ’s Nicole Corbett said: “Consumers around the globe think that the responsibility to lead sustainability lies with retailers and manufacturers.”
