BARR Soft Drinks reckons retailers can use the popularity of two categories to drive up sales for January.
Demand for bottled water and low/no-sugar soft drinks increases in January, with IGD Shoppervista figures identifying it as the second biggest peak for the category, beaten only by summer sales.
Along with this, a YouGov survey for the British Nutrition Foundation from 2021 found that drinking more water was the top healthy change for consumers.
Adrian Troy, marketing director at Barr Soft Drinks, said that makes Rubicon Spring a must-stock going forward.
He said: “Rubicon Spring saw a 30% uplift last January, highlighting a huge opportunity for retailers to drive incremental sales from the water category with the UK’s No. 1 sparkling flavoured water.
“It combines sparkling spring water and fruit juice, with 15 calories or less per bottle.”
The range is made up of Orange & Mango, Pineapple Passion, Black Cherry & Raspberry, and Strawberry & Kiwi flavours.
