PAYPOINT has updated the printing solution for its Collect+ delivery service.
The printer upgrade will allow customers to print out self-adhesive labels to put on any unlabelled parcels.
This replaced the Yodel ‘print on till receipt and stick wallet’ process which saw customers printing out a label to put into a wallet which was stuck onto the parcel.
The new Zebra Thermal Label Printer solution is now available across the 6,000 UK Collect+ stores operating the Yodel delivery service and can be used with PayPoint One and the Collect+ StoreScan app.
PayPoint said the service is free of charge for customers to use and will speed up the process of posting a parcel.
Nick Williams, head of strategic partners and product for parcels at PayPoint, said: “We are very excited about our Thermal Label Printers and the benefits they will bring to our retailer partners’ stores, in terms of use and reduced customer serving times.
“It’s yet another tangible proof point of our continued commitment to invest in the partnerships we hold with retailers around the country.
“Our intention is to extend this in-store printing service to the balance of the 10,000 Collect+ stores this year.”
