Kopparberg expands alcohol-free range
KOPPARBERG has been mixing it up in the alcohol-free category, with the addition of a new flavour to its portfolio.
Kopparberg Mixed Fruit Tropical Alcohol-Free joins the Swedish cider brand’s range of alcohol-free ciders, having previously launched as a limited edition full-strength cider last summer.
According to Kopparberg, Mixed Fruit Tropical has been a hit with consumers, with IRI Total Market sales data for the 12 weeks to 28 November revealing Mixed Fruit Tropical was the third best-selling cider flavour in the premium cider subcategory, as well as the fourth best-selling fruit cider overall.
Kopparberg Mixed Fruit Tropical Alcohol-Free has already secured a listing with Tesco as well as a limited run in selected Asda stores.
Rob Salvesen, head of marketing at Kopparberg, commented on the launch: “Our biggest launch since Strawberry & Lime, Mixed Fruit Tropical cider has risen from a limited-edition summer launch to become a permanent fixture in only seven months.
“To be the third best-selling fruit cider flavour in the premium cider category given its relatively recent launch date takes some doing in such an established category.
“Couple the success of this flavour with younger consumers growing appetite for more alc-free options – Mixed Fruit Tropical Alc-Free made perfect sense.”
