A NEW, smaller packaging format for Irn-Bru 1901 is set to launch this month.
AG Barr plans to roll out a 330ml slim can format for the full sugar variant in a move that the soft drinks maker said will add further value to the category.
First launched as a limited-edition SKU in 2019, Irn-Bru 1901 was given permanent status last year in its 750ml glass bottle format.
According to AG Barr, Irn-Bru 1901 already serves as an “important sales driver” for Scottish retailers, with the firm highlighting Kantar percentage repeat buyers figures that revealed 76% of 1901 sales deliver incremental value for retailers.
Adrian Troy, marketing director at AG Barr, said: “As the food to go market continues to recover post-lockdowns, we recommend that retailers stock both formats of Irn-Bru 1901.”
