NISA has created a new management role aimed at offering increasing access for to the latest retail trials run by the symbol.
The new trials manager is responsible for instigating new ideas among Nisa partners, ensuring opportunities are tested and – where successful – rolled out efficiently.
Tim Norton took on the role earlier this year and has been working with Nisa retailers to roll out a range of initiatives.
Trials that have already taken place include a biscuit trial with Pladis, which was designed to drive sales of the category within Nisa stores.
The symbol has also launched a trial augmented reality voucher scheme with technology company Jisp. The tech is being trialled in 12 Nisa stores nationally.
James Taylor, head of central operations at Nisa, said: “The introduction of a dedicated trial manager to the team enables us to focus on the opportunities that come our way and get involved at the very earliest stage in many exciting initiatives that help to keep our partners ahead in the sector.”
Trials manager Tim Norton said: “While the role is still fairly new, we have already undertaken a number of interesting trials in very different business areas and with more in the pipeline, we’re ensuring Nisa retailers are among the first in the sector to introduce successful and innovative solutions that help to grow their business.”
