New variant for Rockstar range
ENERGY brand Rockstar has launched a no sugar alternative.
Rockstar Original No Sugar offers consumers the same flavour, functional benefits and Vitamin C content of Rockstar Original, with no added sugar.
The new variant is available in a £1.19 price-marked 500ml can with a plain four-pack to follow in October.
Phil Sanders, out-of-home commercial director at Britvic, said: “Stimulants are the number one growth segment in convenience and with new offerings helping fuel growth even further, it’s an important category for retailers to buy into.”
Sanders added that low-calorie variants have been growing ahead of sugar versions, especially in the stimulants segment, according to Nielsen Scantrack, and with research showing that 27% of people are actively reducing their sugar intake, no sugar is a key area of growth for the stimulants category.
He continued: “When purchasing energy drinks, taste and functional benefits are the key criteria.
“Rockstar Original No Sugar ticks both these boxes. Value for money is also a key priority and the PMP format was developed with the convenience channel in mind.”
