Giving more will bring shoppers back
SHOPPERS will keep coming back if they think they are getting more than just a product from a store.
That is the view of Dr Oetker, the firm behind Chicago Town Pizza.
Saying that hot food is the area shoppers most want more from, senior brand manager Richard Cooper said: “The smell and theatre in store around a hot food offering often leads to shoppers buying on impulse as well as upweighting baskets.
“It also unlocks higher footfall as well as new daypart missions including evening meal.”
“In fact,” he continued, “food to go has a role to play whenever shoppers are hungry or thirsty and this goes beyond lunch times; 61% of shoppers surveyed by IGD have completed a food to go mission for an evening meal, just 10% behind lunch time missions.”
Cooper, quoting research in the MCA HIM Food To Go Market report, added that a third of food-to-go visits are motivated by speed, so helping shoppers save time can lead to increased sales.
He continued: “Attracting time-poor consumers has never been easier with Pizza To Go.
“Oven baked and kept warm in the Pizza To Go cabinet, convenience retailers can serve up slices or entire pizzas in seconds.”
Cooper added that retailers who buy the Chicago Town Pizza to Go cabinet for £550+VAT will be reimbursed with free stock.
The brand owner also offers free installation, free training and free POS with each oven purchased.
