ALAN Shearer and Mike Tindall were just two of the sporting legends in attendance at the 2018 GroceryAid Sporting Lunch, which raised a record £515k for the charity.
Over 1,200 industry colleagues attended the lunch on 2 November, with the money raised used to fund the financial grant payments made by GroceryAid.
Steve Barnes, chief executive of GroceryAid said: “We’re humbled by the support given to us by the industry and the Sporting Lunch was a glowing example of this. This fantastic sum raised will help make a very real difference to colleagues experiencing difficulty.”
