Nourishing young talent

Border Biscuits opened its doors to eager high school kids this summer to teach them a thing or two about entrepreneurship.

As part of the Inspiring Enterprise Challenge, the firm hosted a two-day design event in which 15 pupils were asked to come up with innovative biscuit creations.

The teenagers, all from the local area, were encouraged to develop their teamwork, research, finance, marketing and presenting skills.

Andy Alston of Border Biscuits, said: “The project is the perfect platform to bring together local businesses, alongside the talent of the future.”
