POTATO supplier Branston has donated £1,600 to Abernethy community council to help fund the installation of three defibrillators in the area.
The area’s first defibrillator unit has been installed outside the local doctor’s surgery.
There are plans to install a second in a decommissioned BT telephone box in the village of Aberargie and, thanks to the Branston donation, the fundraising team has now raised enough to install a third later in the year.
“We saw a brilliant response from businesses such as Branston and raised our target amount in a very short space of time,” said Linda Buchan, secretary of Abernethy community council.
