AS more and more formats enter the race for chocolate sales, Mondelez International says on-the-go and single packs remain critically important.
And, aiming to help its Twirl, Wispa, Cadbury Dairy Milk, Boost, and Wispa Gold bars hold on to their top ten spots in the sales league, Cadbury is running a competition to give thirteen winners the chance to play 5-a-side against five football stars; Thierry Henry, Jamie Redknapp, Shay Given, Jimmy Bullard and Alex Scott.
Trade communications manager Susan Nash said: “As well as the exciting football match prize, there are chances to win cash prizes up to £1,000.
“For retailers who stock the participating products and display POS material, Mondelez will match the value of each cash prize from the winning packs they sell.”
Another Cadbury promotion is offering consumers free tickets to Merlin Entertainments sites including Legoland, Thorpe Park and Sealife centres.
An on-pack voucher can be redeemed for free entry along with one full paying adult.
Brand manager Chris Campbell said: “We’re helping parents to spend quality time with their families during the holiday season with an instant saving.
“For 2018 we are making three million more packs available to consumers – so there are even more opportunities for families to take advantage of the offer.”
The promotion is supported by a £1m campaign, expected to reach 80% of all adults.
