Mars Chocolate spent £12m to launch the latest Galaxy and says that it is constantly looking out for new food trends.

THE £12m spend on the latest Galaxy variety made it the most visible chocolate bar outside of stores according to brand owner Mars Chocolate.

Launched this summer, Galaxy Crispy has cereal pieces in the chocolate bar.

Trade communications manager at Mars Bep Dhaliwal said: “We are continuously looking to identify new flavours and textures that compliment our chocolate and Galaxy Crispy is just the next step following success with Galaxy Salted Caramel and Galaxy Duet.

“We know that crispy textures are now in 19% value growth.”

The new bar has an RRP of £1.39.
