Super heroes?

OFTEN called the most important meal of the day, breakfast has a big job to do. Porridge manufacturers say new versions of the classic cereal  are up to the task.

Quaker-Oats

• Quaker Oats has launched the Super Goodness range, which it says features enhanced nutritional qualities.

Senior marketing manager Duncan McKay said: “Taste, health and convenience continue to be important, but consumers are increasingly seeking nutritious ingredients.

“Quaker Oats has been instrumental in driving growth in the cereals category with sales doubling over the last seven years.”

Moma Coconut and Chia• Moma says that convenience and portability are major factors in  the breakfast market and that its porridge pots and single-serve sachets are designed for the almost 50% of the adult population  who eat breakfast away from home.

The newest variety is Raspberry & Coconut Bircher Muesli Mix.

Moma founder Tom Mercer said: “All our porridge products contain milk powder so there is no need to add milk or even use a microwave.”
