PARENTS are increasingly choosing more wholesome, nutritional food and drinks for their children’s lunchboxes, says Ishen Paran, sales director of Bear Nibbles.
Paran said: “Kantar reported that the proportion of lunch boxes containing crisps has more than halved since the millennium to 19.4% and fruit has risen to the second most popular item in kids’ lunchboxes after sandwiches .”
Paran added that Bear has added 30% year on year growth to the kids’ dried fruit and snacking category in the last quarter with its Yoyos and Claws ranges adding 4.5 times as much value as the nearest competitor.

The BWaffle is packed with a sachet of hazelnut chocolate spread.
