BESTWAY Wholesale, which includes wholesalers Bestway and Batleys, is targeting major growth in the next five years.
And it’s putting together a team it calls its “power executive” to help achieve the goal.
The firm says club and symbol retailing and foodservice will “continue to be key levers for the wholesale business with both channels expected to deliver significant double digit growth”. It also plans to continue investment in digital capabilities.
It has recruited Tony Holmes as sales director – retail. Previously at SAB Miller, where he was European commercial director for its Appletiser brand, he also worked for CCE in a variety of sales and management roles.
Alek Adamaski, formerly head of buying at Lidl, has been appointed supply chain director. Ed Smeaton, formerly of Lidl, will be trading director (retail) and Carolyn McMenemie, formerly of Holland and Barrett will be human resources director.
