BIG cans are driving the energy drinks category according to Adrian Troy, head of marketing at AG Barr, and he says that flavoured energy drinks have driven a year on year increase of 13% in the category.
Barr aims to build on those increases by adding Punched Guava flavour in a 500ml can to its Pure Zero range.
Troy said: “The low-calorie energy market is currently worth £47m and is growing at 14%.
“By introducing Punched Guava we are giving retailers an added opportunity to profit from this sector.”
