Facing up to winter demands

BOOST Drinks has launched a limited-edition Boost Winter Spice energy drink that the firm says will bring a new dimension to the market and an exciting profit opportunity for independent retailers, including at celebrations around events like Diwali, Halloween, Christmas and New Year.
Boost Winter Spice, infused with plum, cloves and cinnamon flavours, and available in 49p price-marked 250ml cans comes in cases of 24 and will, says Boost Drinks, deliver a minimum profit on return of 45%.
The company sees the Christmas season as a key period for energy drinks with potential sales from the mixer market, and demand for drinks from designated drivers, tired travellers and hungover partygoers needing to get through the day.
This year it’s looking to take a share of the seasonal take-home market with one-litre PET bottles of Original and Sugar Free, on promotion at £1 – reduced from the standard £1.29.
For drivers or those needing a boost after a night out, the 500ml PET bottles provide a re-sealable option, available in Original, Sugar Free, Citrus Zing and Exotic Fruits variations – all price marked at 79p.
