A summer campaign to reduce the number of adults in North Lanarkshire who buy alcohol for under-18s saw 44 offences being detected by last month.
38 related to adults attempting to purchase alcohol for under-18s and six were premises reported for selling to proxy purchasers. 70% of those caught buying alcohol were male. 60% of the under-18s trying to obtain alcohol were female.
