QUOTING figures from Kantar Worldpanel, Nicky says it is now the second biggest brand of toilet tissue in the Scottish market.
Business director at Nicky, Giorgio Garzelli said the figures showed that in the 24 weeks to 19 July the brand registered a 1.7% year-on-year increase in sales in a market down by 1.2%.
He added: “This year Nicky celebrates its 10th anniversary in the UK and results like these make us proud and confirm our strategy is working.
“It also demonstrates the strength of our brand considering we are not distributed in the multiples and are mainly developing our business through the independent sector, a market that grows from strength to strength each year.”
Across the UK, Garzelli says, Nicky grew volume by 15.4% in the same 24 weeks.
Nicky’s toilet tissue range includes the three-ply Nicky Elite, Nicky Aloe Vera and the two-ply Nicky Soft Touch.
