NEW pyrotechnics legislation making changes to firework retailers’ record-keeping practices and signage, has come into force,the Association of Convenience Stores reports on its website.
The changes follow a European Union directive, Retailers who sell fireworks must keep a record of who they bought fireworks from for the last 10 years and also keep 10 years’ worth of records when selling fireworks on to other businesses. And there are new signs that must be displayed in shops.
