INDEPENDENT c-store chain Dynamic Retail, the company behind Scotfresh, has revealed plans to have 15 stores under the fascia by this time next year.
Shaun Marwaha, managing director of the Glasgow-based business, has confirmed that the company is looking at a number of potential new sites across the central belt.
The business, which is affiliated with Premier, currently has eight stores located in Glasgow, Denny, Irvine and Armadale.
“Growth has been swift but we are very acquisitive and see a great future for the brand,” said Marwaha. “We’re working with Christie & Co to locate sites and expect to open further outlets in the coming months.”
Food to go will be a key strand of Scotfresh’s future growth strategy with kitchens going into every store and, where possible, supply arrangements with local bakers and butchers.
Marwaha added: “Customers will come to recognise our stores as somewhere they can come to buy freshly prepared food to go for breakfast, lunch and dinner with everything from bacon rolls and ready meals to salads, sandwiches
and coffee. It’s something we want to become famous for.
“Our food-to-go offer will differ according to the size of our stores which vary from 600 sq ft to 3000 sq ft, so we’re creating ranges for small, medium and large store concepts that can all be freshly prepared on site.”
