SELF-STYLED man’s chocolate brand, Yorkie, is offering lads weekends away in its latest on-pack competition.
Codes inside wrappers could win consumers one of 12 holiday weekends or hundreds of other prizes.
In the Man Pass on-pack promotion, which is running now and continues into summer, winners can take three friends on weekend trips to destinations including Dublin, Barcelona and Prague.
And others will win supercar and karting track days, a driving range experience with a PGA golf instructor, or the chance to attend some of the year’s top entertainment events with a £140 voucher to spend on online ticket agency Ticketmaster.
A spokesperson for Nestlé said: “Young men are a typically hard to reach audience, but the Man Pass promotion is certain to get them excited.
“Convenience retailers should display promotional packs so shoppers cannot miss them, in order to generate additional sales.”
The competition features on Original, Raisin and Biscuit and Peanut varieties of Yorkie.
For their chance to win, consumers have to go online and enter their wrapper code.
As well as the 12 top prizes of weekends for four, including flights, four-star accommodation and spending money, there are 240 Man-Time prizes on offer.
The spokesperson said: “Whilst the promotion is aimed at Yorkie’s target audience of 25 to 34-year-old men, both men and women can, of course, participate and enjoy the prizes.”
Nestlé claims that Yorkie continues to be the fastest growing brand in its sector with growth of 30% since 2012 and a value of £41m.
The spokesperson said: “The brand really is man chocolate with 75% of purchasers being male.”
