“In Scotland anecdotal evidence from customers has shown a sharp increase in demand for alcohol-free products since the introduction of the new drink driving limit,” said Fran Draper, brand manager for Eisberg Alcohol-Free Wine.
Quoting Nielsen figures she added: “Whilst wine sales in the off trade have declined by 3% in the UK over the last 12 months alcohol-free wine sales have increased by 33%, driven by the brand leader Eisberg, which has seen sales increase by 51%
“This is testament to the work that Eisberg has done over the last two years in improving the taste of the wine, updating the packaging, and introducing above the line activity to drive sales. We have found that Eisberg Alcohol-Free Wine sees a significant uplift in sales when the product has been clearly signposted.”
