THE Rubicon brand, which covers an exotic juice drinks range as well as ice cream lines has sales worth £101m and it has sold more than 5m ice creams and push-up lollies since February 2013, according to brand owner AG Barr.
The company’s head of marketing Adrian Troy said: “Consumers love the fact that we’ve introduced a real point of difference to the ice cream sector, with our range of Rubicon-branded frozen products .
“Research highlights the appeal of the Rubicon frozen range, with 95% of consumers saying they will buy the products where available and 75% of consumers describing the products as excellent or very good in taste tests.”
Troy said the Rubicon frozen range is to be supported by national marketing during 2015. There will also be support for Barr’s Irn-Bru lollies.
Troy said: “Irn-Bru is the UK’s number one digital brand and we will create massive online awareness using the cheeky, maverick attitude for which Irn-Bru is well loved.”
