CHRISTMAS chocolate saw sales value rise 5.3% in 2013 said Cadbury brand owner Mondelez International as it launched its festive range for this year.
Consumers buy on average five Christmas chocolate items each during the season. And while 86% of Christmas chocolate is bought to be used as gifts only 44% was bought to be given on Christmas Day itself.
This year, among many other developments, Mondelez has relaunched its Hollow Santa and Snowman novelties under the Cadbury Dairy Milk brand.
