E-CIG company VIP has studied its users to get a clearer insight into who uses its products.
The research shows that all VIP users have also smoked standard tobacco cigarettes. Users range across both sexes, all social groups and all ages, just as tobacco users do.
The company’s e-cig and and its Photon Tank users have a similar demographic profile. Slightly more Photon users are C1 males aged 18-34, living in single person households.
“There is no particular type of consumer group that stands out,” a company spokesperson commented. “An e-cig user is any one of your traditional tobacco customers.”
The survey found that 84% of VIP users would recommend the product to their friends and family. Nearly three-quarters prefer VIP products to tobacco, the brand-owner said.
And some 78% of VIP users have tried other makes but overwhelmingly prefer VIP, it added.
