IT’S always a great night but the 2014 presentation of the Scottish Grocer Awards turned out to be one of the best ever.
An audience of more than 400 that included finalists, guests and people from across Britain’s food and drink retailing, production and distribution industries watched as TV sports presenter Georgie Thomson announced a fascinating mix of experienced winners and new champions across 20 awards that rewarded everything from National Lottery retailing expertise, to health promotion, to beer knowledge, to community involvement.
It was a great night for Mo and Roxy Razzaq of Mo’s store in Blantyre who took the Industry Achievement Award. And it was a busy night for Spar who clocked up seven wins.
