A moose in a party hat is WKD’s secret weapon to boost sales over the festive season. Scotland’s top-selling RTD (as measured by Nielsen) is offering Christ-Moose POS kits, case deals and price-marked promotional multipacks of WKD Blue and Iron Brew.
“WKD is all about sharing good times with friends so it’s always a big seller over the festive period,” said Debs Carter, marketing director for WKD.
“You only get one Christmas and our consumers want to reward themselves and enjoy the festive period.”
It will be the first festive season for new WKD flavours Green and Orange.
“Consumers at Christmas turn to the big, well-known brands; people are keen to experiment at this time of year, but they would much rather try something new from an established name,” Carter claimed.
WKD had a 45% volume share in independents in Scotland last Christmas as measured by Nielsen.
