HEINZ has launched the Deliciously Gluten Free range of pasta and pasta sauces.
Drawing on Kantar Worldpanel data, the firm says the gluten-free category grew 23% in the year to October 2012, and said the new range had been introduced in response to the growing demand for gluten-free products, which are suitable for people suffering from coeliac disease.
The range includes three pasta varieties, penne, macaroni and spaghetti, and three pasta sauces, tomato frito, tomato & basil, and tomato & oregano.
The pastas are available in 500g packs – RRP £1.80. The sauces come in 210g tetra packs with an RRP of 89p.
