KP Snacks, the second-biggest bagged snack manufacturer in the UK, has packaged its beef-flavoured Space Raiders in a new multipack. With the brand now worth £10.5m in sales, and growing at 30% year on year, a 10-pack offers consumers an attractive deal, says the firm.
Marketing director George Johnston said: “This new addition to the Space Raiders range highlights the increased importance consumers are placing on the value offered by the brand. In order to capitalise on the incremental sales this new format will bring, retailers should stock up to take advantage of the double-digit growth the brand is experiencing.”
The company is also reviving last year’s Snack Tracks promotion, with an extended range of customer offers. Launched at the end of last month on handy packs and grab bags of Skips, Hula Hoops, Nik Naks, Discos and Wheat Crunchies, the offers allow consumers to download a free track from the Universal music catalogue straight to their smartphones each time they buy a packet.
There’s also is a chance to win VIP festival tickets and signed CDs.
Johnston added: “Last year we got a very positive response from the trade with thousands of tracks downloaded. This helped to drive sales of the featured brands, particularly within the convenience channel. We are confident that Snack Tracks will be even more popular this year thanks to the VIP festival experiences which build on the daily music downloads.”
