Nestlé expands Shreddies and Shredded Wheat ranges

BREAKFAST cereal firm Nestlé Cereals has expanded on its Shreddies and Shredded Wheat brands with a total of three new variants across both ranges.
Rolling out across the retail channel, the new Shreddies Peanut Butter variant and Bitesize Shredded Wheat flavours will hit shelves across the rest of August with a focus on delivering fresh new flavours to consumers across the UK.
Shreddies Peanut Butter aims to tap into the the popular flavour trend and tie this in with one of the UK’s best-known family cereal brands. The cereal combines a peanut butter flavour with Shreddies’ malty wholegrain squares to deliver a new way for consumers to start off their day.
Additionally, Nestlé will also launch into the functional benefits trend this month with the two new launches under the Shredded Wheat brand. The new Bitesize variants come in either Happy Heart or Active options with each delivering on different functional benefits.
Happy Heart has been formulated to help consumers who are seeking out cereal options that support heart health, with the cereal high in vitamin B1 and low in saturated fat and salt. The cereal is topped with raspberries and nuts to deliver a breakfast option that is high in fibre as well.
Meanwhile, Active is topped with pumpkin seeds and nuts and has been developed to support muscles and bone health by offering a strong source of calcium and vitamin D. Further to this, the cereal is high in fibre and low in salt.
The Shreddies Peanut Butter comes in a 580g pack with an RRP of ÂŁ3.50 each and the new Shredded Wheat variants come in 450g packs with an RRP of ÂŁ3.75.
