Tech firm expands across UK with 1,000th installation

In-store tech firm Henderson Technology has marked a new milestone across the UK with the installation of its 1,000th digital media screen.

IN-STORE tech firm Henderson Technology has reached a new milestone as part of its wider roll out across the UK retail sector with the 1,000th installation of its EDGEPoS Digital Media Screen.

Highlighting how the UK retail sector continues to embrace more digital solutions across stores, the landmark installation for the tech firm was recently completed at Jempson’s Supermarkets in the East Sussex area.

This also highlights four years since the first EDGEPoS Digital Media Screen was first introduced. Since then, more than 800 retail locations across the UK now use the tech, with some operators running multiple screens in one store.

Henderson said this new landmark for the firm showcases how the retailer demand for more dynamic digital signage has grown in recent years and how store owners are now moving away from more traditional printed POS options to favour these digital solutions.

Designed to provide retailers with greater flexibility in stores to help communicate with consumers, the EDGEPoS Digital Media Screen is used to display a range of promotional and customer messaging across stores, food-to-go outlets and foodservice locations and can be tied in with seasonal campaigns or more specific store announcements.

And unlike traditional printed POS, the digital screens can be controlled remotely and scheduled in advance of a promotion going live, allowing retailers to quickly react to changes in promotions and eliminate the need to have a member of staff going round the store changing out the POS when needed.
