Bestway promises its ‘most impactful’ event to date

Bestway Retail has announced the return of its annual Retail Showcase event in a bid to match the demand for the upcoming Fifa World Cup football tournament.

UK wholesaler Bestway has announced the return of its annual Retail Showcase event with the promise of delivering value for its customers this summer.

The flagship Retail Showcase 2026 event is set to be held at the Coventry Building Society Area on Thursday 14 May and promises to build even further on the wholesaler’s efforts from last year, with more than 700 retailers and guests expected to attend.

Representatives from Bestway Retail’s leading fascia groups – Costcutter, Best-one, Bargain Booze and Xtra Local – with be joined by prospective retailers who are exploring opportunities to join the network of stores.

Additionally, the showcase has been designed to unlock margin opportunities for retailers as this year’s event will feature 117 supplier partners spanning across off-trade, impulse, convenience and business services.

The central theme for 2026 will be ‘World Cup Ready’ as the wholesaler looks to bring the upcoming tournament to life for its customers through the event with engaging stand activations, new product developments and category insight aimed at helping retailers to maximise sales for, what will be, one of the biggest trading opportunities for the retail calendar in 2026.

Retailers can expect to find a highly interactive experience at the event, with supplier stands offering games, competitions, product sampling and take-home items, alongside hundreds of exclusive on-the-day deals designed to deliver immediate commercial value.

In addition to this, one retail attending on the day will have the chance to bag a £1,000 store credit prize, with two runner-up prizes worth £500.

Premium partners confirmed for the event include Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, Mars Wrigley, Red Bull, Diageo, AG Barr, Phoenix2Retail, Philip Morris, Budweiser Brewing Group, Suntory and Walkers PepsiCo.
