Scottish dairy layers into Cottage Cheese demands

SCOTTISH dairy firm Graham’s The Family Dairy has expanded further on its range of Protein Cottage Cheese pots with the addition of its new Cottage Cheese with Fruit Layers.
The brand new range pairs together traditional cottage cheese with a layer of either strawberry or peach to match the consumer demand for natural food options with a functional health benefits.
Available in 200g pots, each variant delivers on a hearty 25g of protein for consumers and comes in under 200 calories each to cater towards modern-day consumers who are seeking a more convenient way to boost their protein intake.
The new product is available on shelves now across Tesco stores in the UK.
This new range of fruit variants builds on Graham’s already established cottage cheese range including Natural, Low-Fat and High Protein offers.
The family-run business has been a major player in the demand for cottage cheese variants across Scotland following its five-figure investment into its own-brand and visual identity for the range.
Robert Graham, managing director at Graham’s Family Dairy, said: “Cottage cheese has seen an extraordinary comeback, driven in no small part by social media and a renewed focus on high-protein, no-nonsense food.
“What’s interesting is that this isn’t a short-lived craze – it’s a fundamental shift in how people are eating – and we have been working hard to meet these demands.
“For a while now we’ve been planning our growth in this space – which is why we chose to invest in both our production capability and our family business.
“The brand new layered protein cottage cheese is a first for the UK market, but it’s still made using our traditional open-vat process, which gives it the texture and quality people recognise, avoiding ultra processing.”
