Refresh the day with new Red Bull Spring Edition

ENERGY drinks brand Red Bull has unveiled its latest Editions flavour with the new The Spring Edition Cherry Sakura.
Aiming to capitalise on the demand for cherry flavours in the soft drinks space, the new Red Bull Cherry Sakura offers consumer a floral and refreshing energy drink in a clean white can complete with subtle pink accents to reflect Japanese Cherry Blossom trees.
The trees are synonymous with the spring season as Cherry Blossoms will tend to bloom across March and April in Japan, helping to bring in the spring season in the process.
The new spring launch follows a solid performance for the energy drinks category, says Red Bull, with the Red Bull Editions range helping to create seasonal excitement across the space and providing retailers with a must stock drink as the sun begins to, tentatively, return to the Scottish skyline.
Red Bull Editions have also been influential for overall category growth as of late, as NielsenIQ FMCG (fast-moving consumer goods) data found that the brand’s Peach Edition launch in 2025 was one of the top 10 FMCG launches of the year.
The new Spring Edition Cherry Sakura is set to capitalise on this further for 2026 and drive growth with the energy drinks space.
The new Red Bull Spring Edition Cherry Sakura comes in a range of can formats including 250ml, £1.75 price-marked 250ml, 355ml, 473ml, £2.80 price-marked 473ml as well as a four pack multipack of 250ml cans. Additionally, Cherry Sakura is a full-sugar variant for the range.
A spokesperson for Red Bull said: “The cherry taste is described as floral, refreshing and fruity and consumers are already reacting positively to the new flavour, with 78% saying a cherry flavoured energy drink was appealing.
“Its clean white can, with subtle pink accents directly reflects the iconic Japanese Cherry Blossom that it is named after, and synonymous with the season, delivering premium shelf-standout.”
