Expanding Christmas gifting options with Fortnite vouchers

IN-STORE payment services firm, PayPoint, has expanded on its gaming voucher offering through a new partnership with online gaming phenomenon, Fortnite.
Through a new deal between PayPoint and Fortnite developer Epic Games, store owners will be able to offer consumers in-store voucher services to be used in-game.
Players and family members will be able to buy Fortnite digital vouchers, with a value between £10 and £125, and offer plenty of consumers the ideal Christmas present this year.
The digital vouchers will provide a secure and convenient purchasing platform for Fortnite players, enabling them to top-up and credit their accounts, or gift them to family and friends, with the ability to use cash to purchase.
The collaboration comes as PayPoint looks to expand its digital gaming voucher portfolio, which already includes Google Play, Nintendo, PlayStation, Roblox and Xbox, in response to a rising demand for digital vouchers.
Alongside earning commission for these sales, retail partners will also be able to attract more customers to their store during the Christmas season through this new partnership, increasing cross-selling potential for other services and products whilst in store.
Jo Toolan, managing director for payments at PayPoint, said: “We are thrilled to continue expanding our gaming voucher portfolio for retailers, with customers now able to purchase Fortnite vouchers in-store.
“With Fortnite’s huge UK player base, retailers will have a new pool of customers to attract in-store, especially ahead of the festive period. We aim to further expand our in-store gaming and broader voucher offerings for both retailers and customers, and partnering with such a globally recognised brand supports this goal.”
