ORANGE liqueur brand Cointreau has unveiled two new additions to its ready-to-drink (RTD) cocktail range with a duo of Margarita variants.

Aiming to offer consumers bar-quality serves in the convenience of a canned format, the new RTDs have rolled out in Original Margarita and Passionfruit Margarita variants as the brand aims to shake up the world of RTD cocktails.

Presented in 125ml slimline cans, the cocktails come with an ABV of 12.5% each and the cans have also been made using 100% recyclable materials, underscoring Maison Cointreau’s commitment to sustainable innovation.

Each drink has been crafted with a high-quality tequila and carefully selected ingredients free from artificial colours or flavours to deliver an authentic Margarita serve.

Clémence Gallet, executive director at Cointreau, said: “Our ready-to-drink cocktail range, now enhanced with new flavours on our classic Margarita and available in a can, is a premium expression of this consumption habit.

“It is designed to invite cocktail lovers to savour Cointreau at any cocktail occasion, in an elevated and convenient way.”

The Original Margarita combines Cointreau’s signature orange liqueur with premium tequila, lime peel distillate and lime juice concentrate to deliver a clean, bright and balanced taste.

Meanwhile, the Passionfruit Margarita takes the above ingredients and blends in a natural passion fruit flavour, resulting in a fragrant and well-balanced profile worthy of a bar serve.

The Cointreau Cocktail Twists cans are available for purchase at Waitrose with an RRP of £4 per can.

Carole Quinton, master distiller at Cointreau, said: “In creating these RTD cocktails, I got to blend my distilling expertise with the craft of mixology. As a creator of experiences, I wanted each recipe to deliver the perfect balance, preserving the spirit of Cointreau while elevating every sip.

“It was about finding the right assembly of ingredients to achieve that harmony between the liqueur and its ingredients. The result is two new Margaritas that are bold, fresh, and uncompromising in quality.”
