Ben & Jerry’s builds indulgence into ice cream offer

ICE cream brand Ben & Jerry’s has dolloped in an extra layer of decadence to its range with the launch of two new flavours inspired by classic bakery treats.
Aiming to accelerate its growth through the new launches, Ben & Jerry’s has introduced the new Strawberry Doughbut-eee and Churrifically Churros-y flavours inspired by classic filled doughnuts and the Mexican treat, churros.
These new flavours are designed to be the “most indulgent” Ben & Jerry’s pints yet, fully loaded with five different flavour elements to each.
The Ben & Jerry’s Churrifically Churros-y features a mix of flavours inspired by churros serves with a mix of caramel and sweet cream ice creams, cinnamon sugar pieces, gooey chocolate swirls and churros-style chunks.
Meanwhile, the Ben & Jerry’s Strawberry Doughtnut-eee features a mix of strawberry and sweet cream ice creams, white ampersand chunks, jammy strawberry swirls and doughtnut-style dough chunks.
The pints have been inspired by current global consumer trends to match a broad demand with customers. Both flavours have also been made using Fairtrade Certified vanilla, sugar and cocoa and come with an RRP of £5.75 per tub.
Lucy McManus, UK brand manager at Ben & Jerry’s, said: “We’re thrilled to introduce two indulgent new ice creams from Ben & Jerry’s. The new tubs are focused on accelerating growth through innovation that levels up the Ben & Jerry’s globally-adored offering.
“Our consumer testing has told us that churros and doughnuts are particularly popular among a young audience and are top scoring on purchase intent, especially among 18–34-year-olds, so we are confident this launch will drive excitement among this demographic.”
