LICENCED cake products firm Finsbury Food Group has unveiled its new dual-flavour cake inspired by the movie musical phenomenon Wicked ahead of the release of the upcoming sequel, Wicked: For Good.

Marking the first time the blockbuster film has inspired a cake from Finsbury, the new half-and-half design celebrates the film’s two iconic characters at the heart of both films, Glinda and Elphaba with an iced pink half inspired by Glinda and an iced green half for Glinda.

Going beyond the design of the cake, each side features a different flavour as well, with the Glinda side featuring a light and fluffy vanilla sponge and a rich, indulgent chocolate cake on the Elphaba side.

Andrew Scott, brand manager at Finsbury, said: “This is the first time we’ve partnered with Universal Products & Experiences (UP&E) on a Wicked-themed cake, and we’re excited to bring this epic tale to life in bakery form. It’s a cake designed to resonate with a wide fanbase, from those discovering the world of Wicked for the first time through the films, to long-time fans of the Broadway show.”

Available in Tesco, Asda and Sainsbury’s stores now, the Wicked Celebration Cake serves 20 people, comes with an RRP of £16 and is set to become a go-to centrepiece for Wicked watch parties, themed gatherings, birthdays and other celebrations.

The Wicked Celebration Cake marks the latest result of the collaboration between Finsbury and UP&E, which was renewed in early 2025. Finsbury has delivered baked treats from many Universal properties including Illumination’s Minions, Jurassic World and Dreamworks Animation’s Gabby’s Dollhouse.

Scott said: “We’ve created something truly magical and memorable that feels right at home at any celebration. It’s rare to find a cake that is quite literally two different flavour profiles split right down the middle, but it felt like the perfect way to pay homage to the central themes of Wicked: For Good and its two leading cast members. We certainly had some fun conjuring up this cake in collaboration with Universal.”
