THE Royal Collection Trust, a department of the Royal Household, has introduced its new Buckingham Palace Gin & Tonic in a Tin as a new addition to its gin range.

Coinciding with Buckingham Palace opening to the public for the summer, the new 250ml tin is a ready-mixed cocktail made using Buckingham Palace Dry Gin – a light, crisp gin that has been infused with 12 botanicals including lemon verbena, bay leaves and mulberry leaves, which have been hand-picked from the Palace’s garden. This gin has been mixed together with premium tonic water.

The tins marks the first product in the ready-to-drink market for the Royal Collection Trust and expands its existing line of gins which consists of The Buckingham Palace Dry Gin – which sold out in hours when it launched in 2020 – alongside the Buckingham Palace Sloe Gin, the Pink Windsor Castle Gin and the Palace of Holyroodhouse Dry Gin.

And to mark this new foray into the RTD market, the Royal Collection Trust’s alcohol range will be available to external partners for the first time this summer as the charity has been granted an alcohol wholesale licence.

The Royal Collection Trust seeks to open up availability for its alcohol range with its new Alcohol Wholesale Licence.

The Buckingham Palace Gin & Tonic in a Tin is available for purchase from the on-site shops and cafés at the royal residences as well as from Royal Collection Trust stores in London, Edinburgh and Windsor and from the Royal Collection Trust’s online store.

Each 250ml can comes with an RRP of £8 with an ABV of 6.8% with the income from purchases going directly to the care and conservation of the Royal Collection.

Kaneesha Bose, head of central retail at Royal Collection Trust, said: “We take real pride in the development of our alcohol range, which uses fresh botanicals grown on royal grounds wherever possible.

“We are delighted to have been granted the wholesale licence which will give us the opportunity to bring our drinks to more people.

“The convenient can format of our Buckingham Palace Gin & Tonic in a Tin will mean ever more people can taste our classic gin, uniquely infused with ingredients from the beautiful garden at Buckingham Palace.”
