Kingfisher Drinks brings a tangy punch to Peacock range

PREMIUM world beer and cider firm Kingfisher Drinks has announced a new flavour for its Peacock Cider brand with the new Passion Fruit & Guava variant.
Available to grocery and convenience channels from June onwards, the new cider comes in a 500ml bottle with an RRP of £2.70 each as Peacock aims to respond to the rising demand for tropical flavours.
The new Passion Fruit & Guava cider offers consumers a bright, tropical and fun cider option that is ideal for the summer months as well as for further year-round drinking opportunities.
The passion fruit tastes brings forward a tangy punch to the drink, whilst the guava introduces a more smooth and mellow sweetness for an overall juicy and exotic taste, Kingfisher says.
And the firm reckons the new flavour combination will bring a bold and on-trend addition to the off-trade and match with younger consumer desires for more flavour-led ciders.
Peacock Cider first launched in the UK in 2016 to initially complement more pan-Asian cuisines but it has found a comfortable audience in the UK since then. Peacock enjoyed a successful rebrand in 2024 which helped to broaden its appeal to a wider and younger audience with sales up 15% year-on-year according to the firm.
Andy Sunnucks, senior brand manager at Kingfisher Drinks, said: “Peacock is an Asian-inspired cider that prides itself on its exotic outlook, both in terms of flavours and attitude.
“We’re confident this new flavour will prove popular with younger cider drinkers looking for something different in their packaged cider and will perfectly complement the Crisp Apple and Mango & Lime variants in the Peacock portfolio.”
