Throat lozenges brand Fisherman’ Friend aims to support consumers to fight back hay fever symptoms this year with a new campaign.

AS shoppers feel the dreaded impact of hay fever season, Fisherman’s Friend has urged retailers to stock up on its range to provide some extra relief this year.

With the UK hayfever season now in full swing and warnings of high levels of pollen in the air, millions of shoppers will be reaching out for any and all products that could help to relieve these symptoms and provide some much-sought relief.

Jon R White, regional business manager at Fisherman’s Friend UK, said: “Menthol has been associated for centuries with helping ease the discomfort of runny noses and scratchy throats – two of the most common frustrations during allergy season.

“With 10mg of menthol per lozenge, Fisherman’s Friend Original Extra Strong delivers more menthol than any other non-medicinal lozenge on the market, giving consumers a bold, trusted option to turn to when the sneezing sets in.”

To help push the brand further during the hayfever season, Fisherman’s Friend will roll out a new consumer PR push that will include a revamped influencer campaign to help shout out about the brand during the key summer months.

This follows on from the brand’s campaign last year ‘Restore in the Great Outdoors’ which also saw Fisherman’s Friend team up with some top UK influencers to firmly position the brand as an essential during the hay fever season.

The brand includes a nine-strong range of minty and fruity flavours which includes Original Extra Strong, Sugar-Free Spearmint, Aniseed, Honey & Lemon, Blackcurrent and more.

Fisherman’s Friend reckons this wide variety of tastes and preferences will appeal to all different kinds of consumers’ demands, with the full range at an RRP of 99p per 25g pack.

White said: “This renewed focus on authentic engagement is expected to drive even stronger consumer demand – so now’s the time to make sure your shelves are well-stocked to meet shopper needs during the peak pollen period.”
