Viral snacking sensation Takis has introduced its first non-spicy snack to its range with the launch of Intense Nacho flavour.

VIRAL sensation brand Takis has introduced its first non-spicy snack variant with the launch of Intense Nacho.

Rated zero heat on the brand’s heat-o-meter, Intense Nacho has all the flavour intensity fans are familiar with without the heat, with an “extremely cheesy” taste to tap into the growing popularity of cheese flavoured snacks.

Already a hugely popular addition on shelves in the US, Intense Nacho was the third most bought flavour in the rolled tortilla segment in 2023, the brand is expecting to recreate this excitement once again in the UK market.

This comes after Vypr panel data which reviewed a consensus of 1000 UK respondent in January 20205. Some 77% of respondents all said they found the new flavour appealing, with a 80% saying they would buy Intense Nacho if they spotted it on shelf.

This could make this new variant a key player for the impulse opportunity for the months ahead, especially as more consumers seek snacks for hosting opportunities across the summer.

Available in Iceland stores now in 180g bags, each pack comes with an RRP of £3.

The new flavour follows on from the official roll out of one of the brand’s hottest products Takis Blue, which ranks at extreme on the brand’s heat-o-meter.
