Collaboration aims to increase overall store footfall

INDUSTRY insights and experts C-Store Collective has announced its new partnership with Royal Mail.
The new partnership comes as C-Store Collective seeks to increase the overall footfall across convenience stores in the UK by expanding Royal Mail’s parcel locker network into the sector.
C-Store Collective reckons this will allow retailers to better serve their local communities, earn additional income and drive footfall without any extra hassle.
Royal Mail will not only install, service and manage lockers at stores across the UK, but the firm will also pay a rental fee for stores hosting a locker.
Royal Mail’s parcel lockers offer consumers a secure, self-service unit from which shoppers can send, receive and return parcels at a time that best suits them from the convenience of their local store.
They are already widely in use across the UK and now, Royal Mail has an aim to bring this service to the convenience channel to better support smaller, independent stores across the UK.
C-Store Collective will work with Royal Mail to identify suitable retail locations and support stores during the set-up process.
Jonathan Rons, co-founder at C-Store Collective, said: “This is a practical, community-focused solution that benefits everyone.
“Retailers get more people through the door and a rental payment. Customers get more choice and convenience. And Royal Mail continues to evolve its service in a way that fits with how people live and shop today.”
