AGAVE tequila brand Altos has expanded on its range of ready-to-serve (RTS) cocktails with its new Altos Strawberry Margarita.

Following on from the brand’s Lime Margarita variant which rolled out in Spring 2024, the new flavour has been crafted using Altos’ award-winning Plata Tequila, triple sec, agave syrup and has been infused with ripe strawberries to deliver a subtle strawberry sweetness for a balanced finish.

Parent firm Pernod Ricard reckons the new launch will help to improve accessibility for classic bar serves in the home with a convenient RTS option that need only be poured over ice to be enjoyed.

The new Altos Strawberry Margarita is available from April in Tesco and Asda locations before rolling out across the wider grocery category later this year. Each bottle comes with an RRP of £15 and an ABV of 14.9%.

Josh McCarthy, brand director for Pernod Ricard UK, said: “Altos is leading the UK tequila revolution, continuing to shift perceptions of the category with a bartender-built brand that prioritises authenticity, education and craft over celebrity hype.

“Despite tequila’s growth, it’s still just over 1% of the UK spirits market. With so much headroom to grow, our excitement grows and we’re doubling down on visibility and retail presence to change this.

“This approach has helped us become the number one 100% agave tequila in UK grocery. Through this channel we’ve been champions of making bar quality margaritas accessible and seen our ready-to-serve flying.”
