Bring a touch of ‘newstalgia’ to the confectionery offer

CONFECTIONERY brand Stockley’s has embraced more nostalgic flavours with the introduction of two new treats inspired by some classic dessert options.
Aiming to play more into the brand’s permissible indulgence offer, Stockley’s has extended its range to include the ‘newstalgic’ launches Jam Roly Poly & Custard and Choc-Scotch.
Blending flavours from a Rhubarb & Custard sweet with a chewy raspberry centre, Stockley’s hopes consumers will be tempted by more flavours from their childhood.
Meanwhile, the Choc-Scotch offers a crisp butterscotch sweets that includes a milk chocolate core to further play into the growing enthusiasm for contrasting flavours and textures within the confectionery channel.
Each 250g pack has an RRP of £5.49 and could be ideal for shoppers who are looking for more affordable treats or as a gifting opportunity for the spring.
Andy Valentine, head of marketing at Stockley’s, said: “Having enjoyed enviable growth over the last 12 months, with the arrival of new prestige distributors like Cotswold Fayre and Cress, Stockley’s is in no mood to take its foot off the throttle.
“Jam Roly Poly & Custard is a stunning twist on this tart yet sweet classic whilst Choc-Scotch provides our unique take on a crisp butterscotch shell made with real butter that contrasts intriguingly with its smooth yet indulgent, milk chocolate core.”
