THE SGF Healthy Living Programme team is going on tour again to deliver its message to pupils and retailers – travelling to Fort William and Skye.

From 31 March to 4 April, the team aims to visit 21 retailers and host five events with primary schools – four in Fort William and one on Skye.

A total of 618 pupils are due to experience a Welby Big Breakfast or snacking event, with the team providing healthier choices for the children to eat while delivering the health message to both pupils and c-store retailers in an educational and entertaining way.

Spar Scotland wholesaler CJ Lang & Son is sponsoring the events in Fort William and community-owned Armadale Stores is supporting the Skye proceedings.

Programme director Kathryn Neil said: “We’re educating pupils and parents about the importance of fuelling their bodies correctly.

“Our events also show how vital c-stores are to their communities and can help create footfall for the retailers involved.”

Booker AVS Guide to help retailers

RETAILERS could save more than £50,000 by using Booker’s latest Added Value Services (AVS) Guide, claims the wholesaler.

It has over 25 exclusive deals across a range of services, including parcel collection with InPost, drinks machines with Costa and Calippo Burst, and home delivery solutions.

The AVS Guide is available to all Booker symbol group retailers via its website.

Booker retail managing director Colm Johnson said: “We have brought together a range of recommended suppliers to support all our symbol retailers’ in-store needs and negotiated a number of preferential exclusive rates for them.”
