Walkers has collaborated with Lea & Perrins and Heinz on a saucy flavour comeback with the return of its Worcester Sauce and Tomato Ketchup flavours.

FAN favourite flavours Tomtato Ketchup and Worcester Sauce have made a comeback for the Walkers crisps range.

Parent firm PepsiCo has teamed up with Lea & Perrins and Heinz to help consumers to “sauce” up their lunches once again by bringing two familiar brands to the crisps aisles.

The returning variants follow on from a fan demand on social media, says PepsiCo, after consumers requested to that Walkers bring back the Worcester Sauce flavour. Aiming to go the next level, Walkers decided to team up with the original Worcester Sauce brand Lea & Perrins to bring back this tangy taste.

Packs feature a bright purple colour with the Lea & Perrins logo to help highlight the collaboration to consumers and ensure the variant stands out on the shelf.

Walkers has also joined forces with the iconic ketchup brand, Heinz, to deliver a tomato sauce flavour that fans of the brand know, love and can trust. Similarly, each pack of Walkers Heinz Tomato Ketchup features the Heinz logo at the centre of the pack with a red packaging design to help it stand out further on shelves.

The collaboration also kick starts Walkers’ #goallcrispin campaign, focused on the debate around crisp sandwiches among consumers on social media. The new campaign is live now until mid-April across TV, shoppers, digital, social and PR activity.

Walkers Lea & Perrins Worcester Sauce and Heinz Tomato Ketchup flavours are available across grocery, impulse and wholesale channels now across a range of formats consisting of: a 45g grab bag £1.10 RRP; a 70g £1.25 PMP pack; and a six pack multipack £2 RRP.

Irina Panescu, senior marketing manager at Walkers, said: “Earlier this month, super fans from all over the country descended on Charlie’s Convenience Store in Worcester, as it became the first and only stockist of Walkers Worcester Sauce flavour crisps in the world.

“However, we knew from the unprecedented reaction that we needed to bring the iconic flavour back to stores nationwide.

“We are thrilled to be answering the demands of shoppers with the return of our Worcester Sauce flavoured crisps, working with Lea & Perrins to deliver our best taste yet.

“By working alongside another powerhouse in Heinz, these collaborations will attract new shoppers looking to try something different.

“These kinds of tie-ups are a great way to create excitement and drive footfall, giving shoppers the chance to enjoy a collision of some of their favourite flavours.

“We’re confident that both new launches will be a popular addition to people’s lunches, or as a snack to enjoy on its own and ultimately help our retail customers drive more snack sales.”
