Aperol Spritz comes to the RTD market

Convenient solution for trending cocktail

A bottle of Aperol Spritz RTD sits in the middle of a table, with two balloon glasses filled with the cocktail to the bottle's right and a four pack of bottles to the single bottle's left.
Italian bitter brand Aperol is set to make cocktail nights all the more convenient this summer with the roll out of its new Aperol Spritz Ready to Serve bottles.

ITALIAN bitters brand Aperol has responded to the rising trend for the Aperol Spritz cocktail with a new ready-to-serve (RTD) bottle format.

Offering consumers a convenient, pre-mixed version of the trendy cocktail serve, the new Aperol Spritz Ready to Serve comes in packs of four 200ml bottles with an RRP of £13.

The new RTD option aims to deliver for consumers this summer who are seeking a more convenient, and affordable, option for cocktails in the sun. The drink balances Aperol’s bitter-sweet aperitif with sparkling wine and soda in a single-serve format.

To enjoy, consumers need simply chill and serve in a large wine glass over ice for a convenient cocktail serve whenever the weather calls for a refreshing drink.

The new Aperol Spritz Ready to Serve will roll out across Waitrose stores from 24 March, before it comes to Sainsbury’s and Morrisons locations on 31 March.

The drink will also roll out further across retail locations as the summer approaches, with Asda receiving the drinks from 7 April, Tesco from 14 April and Co-op stores from 12 May.

Loris Contro, Italian icons brand ambassador at Campari Group UK, said: “As one of the most recognisable cocktails in the world, Aperol Spritz has long been enjoyed as part of relaxed, sociable moments.

“Now, these spontaneous moments can take place unpredictably, with the perfect Aperol Spritz at your fingertips.

“With Aperol Spritz Ready to Serve, we’re delighted to offer a convenient way to enjoy the same high-quality cocktail, without the need for mixing – simply chill and pour over ice with an orange slice for a perfectly balanced serve.”
